Informed Consent

Today while at the Capitol building, a group of protesters stood outside to oppose SB 277 - a bill regarding mandatory vaccinations. The main problem presented with this very controversial issue was that it may infringe upon the constitutional rights to freedom of religion and the liberty of persons. While many individuals showed up to this event to voice their dissatisfaction with this bill, many others came to the committee hearing of the bill to demonstrate their support for its passage. People on both sides of the issue were incredibly vocal throughout the trial, but in the end the bill was passed by the senators present. It was interesting to see people so involved in the issues being faced by our state government, and to hear the arguments for both sides.
